Visceral Manipulation
"Viscera" relates to the internal organs of the body, such as the liver, kidneys and intestines. Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that aids your body's ability to release restrictions and unhealthy compensations that cause pain and dysfunction.
I have found Visceral Manipulation to be very helpful and complimentary to therapeutic bodywork. It integrates changes within the body that originate in the organs and manifest their symptoms in the bodies structure. This therapy is gentle and powerful.

Therapeutic bodywork is a wonderful hands on approach to relieving pain and stress in the body. Through touch and soft tissue manipulation, therapeutic bodywork creates positive changes in the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and joints creating a space for the body to experience healing. Therapeutic bodywork reduces pain in the body, changes chronic muscle tension, increases range of motion of the joints and integrates awareness and balance back into our bodies.
A therapeutic bodywork session is received on a table with the client undressed or dressed. Underwear may and should be left on depending on the comfort of the client or the needs of the session. I use appropriate draping and communication to address any needs as may arise. All concerns of the client will be listened to and addressed.

Traditional Thai bodywork is an ancient healing system of Thailand that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. Thai bodywork is received on a mat on the floor and the client remains clothed throughout the session. Along with various bodywork techniques, the client receives passive stretching. This is a slow and relaxing form of bodywork that I have come to respect and integrate in many of my sessions.
